💙 National Police Women’s Day 💙

Today, we’re taking a moment to recognize the three incredible female officers serving at Perry Township Police Department in honor of National Police Women’s Day!

Two of our officers were making the drive back from Kentucky after attending the Mounted Police Colloquium. One of those officers also serves as our Social Media Coordinator, so she’s been a little busy! 😅

Our third female officer is serving our community as a Patrol Sergeant on second shift. 🚔

We’re proud to have these women representing our department and our profession. Each brings her own strengths, dedication, and perspective to the job, and together they make a difference in our community every day.

To all the women serving in law enforcement, thank you for your strength, compassion, and commitment to keeping our communities safe.

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the families who lost loved ones, the survivors, and the countless people whose lives were forever changed.

And we remember the unity, courage, and strength that followed.

We will never forget.

🐴🇺🇸 Work hard, play hard!

Our Perry Township Mounted Police Unit is in Kentucky this week attending the Mounted Police Colloquium, putting in long hours training, learning, and sharpening their skills alongside mounted units from across the country.

But when you spend this much time together, you have to make room for a little fun! 😂

Ofc. Newsome and Kali took a break from the serious business of mounted police work to tackle the Fruit by the Foot Challenge! 🍓🤣

Because even our mounted officers know that teamwork, a little competition, and a good laugh are all part of the job. 💙💛

🐿️ UNEXPECTED RESCUE AT THE SHOE! 🐿️

If you were at the OSU game today, you may have witnessed a rather unusual rescue.

This little guy found himself inside the stadium and was understandably a little scared and overwhelmed. Luckily, some helpful fans spotted him—and apparently decided the best way to calm him down was to feed him pretzels. 😂🥨

Sgt. Delbert stepped in, safely rescued our furry friend, and escorted him outside the stadium, where he was released to continue his day.

No crime. No arrests. Just one scared squirrel, a few generous fans, and Sgt. Delbert answering the call. 😂🐿️
