🚨 Let's talk about JD Vance campaigning in Hungary for Viktor Orbán.

You know — the same JD Vance who loves to clutch his pearls about foreign interference in American elections. But here he is, on foreign soil, boosting a leader whose entire political career is a masterclass in dismantling democracy from the inside out.

Let's recap what Orbán actually did after winning his second term in 2010:

✔️ Replaced civil servants with hand-picked loyalists
✔️ Used economic pressure and regulation to crush the free press
✔️ Stripped universities of their independence — and shut one down entirely
✔️ Politicized the court system
✔️ Rewrote the constitution multiple times to rig electoral advantages for himself

The result? Hungary — once a rising European economy — has one of the highest inflation rates in the EU, a gutted middle class, and a population that's been leaving the country in droves for better opportunities elsewhere. This is Orbán's "success story."

And THIS is the model JD Vance is flying overseas to celebrate and promote. Not just admire from afar — actively campaign for.

So I have to ask: if a foreign official flew to the U.S. to campaign against Republican candidates, how loud would Vance scream about election interference? You already know the answer.

The rules only apply when they're convenient.

For the second year in a row, US President Donald Trump has proposed significant cuts to the budgets of major US science agencies. Released Friday, the White House’s plan for federal spending next year also includes a ban on using federal funds for subscriptions and publishing fees for some academic journals.

The plan proposes cuts to federal agencies that fund or conduct research on health, space and the environment. Some of the steepest cuts would be made to the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): the budgets of both would fall more than 50% in 2027 compared to their current levels. The budget for the US National Institutes of Health would drop 13%. http://spklr.io/6009Ey7GS

They didn't fire 26 generals and admirals because of misconduct. Not one was cited for a single violation. They fired them because they had a conscience.

Pete Hegseth has spent the last year systematically removing every senior military officer who might say no. Twenty-six generals and admirals — gone. No hearings. No misconduct. No explanation. Just gone.

And now, in the middle of an active war with Iran, he fired the Army Chief of Staff.

You don't do that unless you have an agenda.

The pattern isn't random. It's architectural. Every removal serves the same purpose: shortening the distance between a presidential order and its ex*****on. The officers who pushed back are gone. The ones who stayed quiet remain. The new Army Chief of Staff? General Christopher LaNeve — Hegseth's personal military aide. The man who carried his briefcase now signs the orders.

The chain of command hasn't just been restructured. It's been rewired to eliminate friction.

Meanwhile, this is the same administration telling us we can't afford healthcare. Can't afford childcare. Can't fund schools or feeding programs for children because we're a "big, powerful country" that needs every dollar for war. But which war? Fought how? And toward what end?

The IRGC has announced attacks will intensify. The USS Gerald Ford is heading back. CNN's intelligence assessment confirms Iran still has half its launchers and thousands of drones intact. The President has already named the next targets: power plants, desalination facilities, oil wells, Kharg Island. Infrastructure that sustains civilian life.

And every general who might have looked at that list and said "this crosses a line under international law" — is already out of the room.

Congress has held zero hearings. Issued zero subpoenas. The legal question of whether a Defense Secretary can unilaterally remove Senate-confirmed officers during wartime has never been tested — because no one with the authority to ask the question has chosen to ask it.

So here we are. A military purged of independent judgment. A war with no defined exit. A Defense Secretary who has openly said he enjoys watching suffering. And a president who has pre-announced strikes on civilian infrastructure while the world watches.

This is not hyperbole. This is the situation.

What comes next in Iran — with no one left in the room who will say stop — should terrify every single one of us.

The people who were supposed to be the last line of resistance inside the building have been escorted out. What happens next is on all of us who stayed quiet while it happened.
