FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING TO BEGIN
9/20 @ 7PM
NOTICE -
The City of DuBois will begin hydrant flushing on Sunday 9/20 at 7:00 PM. Public Works crews will be working round the clock flushing each hydrant throughout the city.
Hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance task. This is completed to test water pressure, flush sediment from water lines, and test fire hydrant functionality.
During hydrant flushing you may experience temporary water discoloration, reduced water pressure, or brief interruptions in your service. If you do experience water discoloration, please run your cold water tap for several minutes to flush the discoloration out until clean water begins to appear again.
The flushing event will occur over several days. There is no set end time: this work will continue until completed.
Thank you!
