Such an amazing experience today having our Dryden bands combine with the New Lothrop and Atherton bands for a day full of learning and music! Thank you to New Lothrop Schools for hosting us and providing a place for the first ever New Lothrop Band Clinic. It was a huge success!!

Congratulations to Penelope Spencer and Madison Maday for a fantastic performance at the MSBOA District III Honor Band! They spent their entire Saturday rehearsing with select students from surrounding school districts to put on an impressive concert. Great work!

Excellent performance from our Dryden band students in the UofM Flint Honor Band! Select band members spent the weekend rehearsing music with students from over 20 districts in Michigan that culminated in a spectacular concert Sunday afternoon. Congrats and great job to all!

Good luck to Dryden Band members Penelope Spencer, Madison Maday, Josclyn Mohler, and Lillian Eason as they rehearse with the University of Michigan - Flint Honor Band this weekend!

The honor band will be giving a concert tomorrow at 3pm in the David French music hall and any and all are invited to attend (free admission)!

The Dryden Band, joined by the New Lothrop High School Band, attended the Huron Valley Marching Band competition where many of our students got to experience marching band for the first time! They braved the chilly weather in the bleachers and watched over 15 bands compete for awards. Great job Dryden Band!

Good Evening Dryden Bands and Music friends! My name is Jacob Sudduth and I am four weeks into my position as the K-12 Music teacher at Dryden. I could not be more excited to build up these young musicians after seeing their love of music shine in the past few weeks!

I wanted to communicate a few major points regarding the next couple of months. Firstly, the revival of the football program means the revival of the fall pep band! Ask your high school students about the schedule I sent home with them last week. We are looking to perform at our first home game next Thursday, Sept. 21st! (See schedule below)

I am also excited to announce our first Dryden Bands and Music Boosters Meeting! We will hold our inaugural meeting on Monday, Sept. 25th, 6PM in the band room. Who are the music boosters? Well... you! All parents, family, and community members who have a vested interest in seeing the music program grow are a part of our booster program. We will have sign-up sheets available at our first booster meeting with upcoming events. Snacks and drinks are provided and students are more than welcome to attend!

Yesterday, the High School Band was so fortunate to have a clinic with the incredibly talented and charismatic Mr. Geething! We are so grateful for his help, humor, and wealth of knowledge as we strive to be our best selves for MSBOA Band Festival on March 4th. 🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻
