Why should you care… that only 44% of Teton County Idaho residents have filled out the Census??? Because it means a whopping loss of $700,000 to the County Road & Bridge budget. Every year. For the next ten years. In case you are wondering, that is nearly a quarter of the R & B budget. That means 25% less road maintenance and improvements for the next ten years. Please, let’s not go there. Go to census2020.gov and fill out your census, TODAY. Sept 30th is the final day to complete the Census!!

YES!!!! The Valley of the Tetons Library is including these reminders with books they checkout to patrons via curbside pickup. Local census counters are beginning to visit households in Teton County that haven’t completed their census. You can save that visit by completing your form online. Please do so! EVERYONE COUNTS!

The Food Pantry is absolutely right -- everyone who lived here on April 1st of this year needs to be counted HERE. Teton County is way behind! This affects the distribution of OUR tax dollars -- if we’re not *all* counted, what we pay will go elsewhere. Don’t let that happen! Please complete your census TODAY. (It only takes five-10 minutes!)

Census materials have been dropped at all homes where their owners receive mail at a PO Box; census workers are being trained about collecting info door-to-door. It’s by far easier (faster, more efficient) to complete your census online at www.my2020census.gov

“Update leave” — that’s what is happening now. If you get a paper census left on your door, fill it out and return it, even if you’ve done the Census online.

UPDATE: Census workers have started to leave materials at homes where folks get their mail in a PO box!

Update -- our data has barely inched up in the last two weeks. Going online to complete the census survey only takes about 10 minutes (for two people in the household, it takes less than 5 minutes.) There are MILLIONS of dollars in federal aid on the line here. Let’s bring those tax dollars back to us! The link is my2020census.gov.

Data as of noon today: we’re doing better but still WAY behind the rest of Idaho. This info affects federal funding for all kinds of public services AND our representation in Boise and Washington, DC. If you haven’t yet completed your census, do it!!! Link is in the comments.
