Today, Teton County Prosecuting Attorney Bailey Smith, public defender Forrest Fischer and Magistrate Judge Jason Walker assisted Teton Middle School faculty in putting on closing arguments as part of a mock murder trial. This was one of the culminating events in TMS's CSI project, and all of the students gave fantastic performances. The students learned a lot about the criminal justice system, the roles of the respective lawyers and the judge, and were able to pick up some life and career pointers from the presenters. Thank you Bailey, Forrest and Jason for your participation in this event today!

Prosecuting Attorney Bailey Smith makes it a priority to help educate Teton Valley’s youth. Bailey recently spoke at the Middle School about a number of hard but important topics, including the age of consent, n**e photos, alcohol, to***co and drugs. There were lots of great questions from the students, and everyone left with a better understanding of the law and the consequences of making criminal mistakes. A big thanks to school staff and everyone else that made this event possible!
