PAID SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP
The NCDP Rural Caucus is looking for a creative and dependable intern to help tell the stories of rural North Carolina from now through the November 3 midterm election.
This is a flexible, short-term opportunity focused primarily on creating simple social media content from rural counties, including:
• Taking photographs of people, volunteers, candidates and community events
• Recording short videos and interviews
• Creating Facebook and Instagram posts, Stories and Reels
• Helping us highlight the people, places and issues that matter in rural communities
Professional equipment is not required. A good smartphone, basic social media skills and an interest in rural North Carolina are a great place to start.
The position pays $15 per hour for up to 40 total hours, with approved mileage and meal expenses reimbursed under Caucus guidelines.
College students, recent graduates, and others interested in communications, photography, video, public service, or political organizing are encouraged to apply.
Interested? Send the NCDP Rural Caucus a private message with your name, county, availability, and a few sentences about why you are interested. Please include links or samples of your work if you have them.
Help us show North Carolina what rural communities have to say.
