Hey friends,
I’m working on a small pilot program leading up to the North Douglas County Fair, and I’m looking for a few people who might be interested in helping as Play Mentors.
The idea is simple:
Come help people learn playful skills with friends and family, then invite them to bring those new skills to the fair and share them with Ripples the Clown.
I’m especially hoping to connect with folks who have some experience with:
Juggling
Balls, clubs, rings, passing, or other toss-based skills
Flow Arts
Poi, flow star, hoop, staff, or movement-based prop play
Trick Skills
Yo-yo, kendama, diabolo, flower sticks, devil sticks, or similar skill toys
You do not need to be a professional performer or formal teacher. I’m looking for people who enjoy these skills, can encourage beginners, and would like to help extend our local community of play, flow, and juggling.
For those who are able to help teach a little during the practice sessions and share a short skill demonstration or mini-performance at the fair, I’m also working on a small thank-you reward. It won’t be huge, but I want to honor the people who step up and help build this with me.
The goal is to create a welcoming space where people can try something new, practice together, and maybe discover that they are more capable than they thought.
If this sounds interesting, please comment or message me. I’d love to talk with a few people who want to help bring more playful practice into the community.
Practice the Power of Play.
