25 years later, we still remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families and communities forever changed by that day.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage and compassion.

Today, we honor their lives, their sacrifices, and the spirit of service that brought people together in the days that followed. 🇺🇸

Meet Max! A current CBE Junior and one of our amazing summer interns!

I’m Maximus Morisi, a junior at CB East HS with an interest in the legal system. As an intern with the Clerk of Courts, I’ve handled and updated criminal case files, spoken with elected officials, toured county offices, and more.

With many amazing employees, judges, and officers happy to answer questions, I learned how the CoC’s administrative work sustains the court system and I built an understanding of the parts that different offices play in keeping the county safe and in order. My biggest interests were in following from start to finish certain court processes such as filing bench warrants, setting bail, and ARD/recovery programs.

In a matter of two months, this internship was great for witnessing Bucks County’s justice system in a way that few get to see.

Meet Avigail - Clerk of Courts Intern extraordinaire!

My name is Avigail Wus, and I’m a rising senior at Pennsbury High School. Currently, I serve as the overall debate captain for Pennsbury’s Speech & Debate program, as well as a member of the Model UN board. Throughout my time serving as a Clerk of Courts intern, I’ve gotten a chance to experience the law from all different angles. In addition to observing court proceedings, I’ve learned how to prepare documents for trial, perform record searches, and input court costs. For me, one of the most interesting parts of this internship was being able to watch Bucks County’s various programs like DRIP, ARD, and especially Drug/Recovery Court, in action. ⚖️

On June 13, the Bucks County Register of Wills’ hosted their Wills for Heroes event at the Southampton Fire Company. At this event, 61 estate document packages were provided to veterans, first responders, and their partners.

We here at the Clerk of Courts office were proud and honored to serve as witnesses. Thank you to the volunteer attorneys, notaries, fellow witnesses, and staff who made this incredible day possible. Your dedication helps ensure those who have served our communities have the peace of mind that comes with a plan for the future.

The next Wills for Heroes event will be held October 10 at the Bucks County Bar Association in Doylestown. Appointments are required and space is limited.
