If you saw the yellow trucks cruising around northern Wayne County today, you weren’t seeing things! Our divers spent the day alongside Marshallville Fire & Chippewa Township Fire inspecting and maintaining dry hydrants throughout the area. These valuable water sources play a critical role in protecting our rural communities. It was a great day to be in the water while helping ensure these important resources remain ready when they’re needed most.

The Chippewa Township Fire Department would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the following departments for their invaluable assistance in responding to a structure fire on Wednesday, April 8, 2026: Orrville Fire, Wadsworth Fire, Marshallville Fire, Rittman Fire, Sterling Fire, Central Fire, Dalton Fire, North Lawrence Fire and Lawrence Twp Fire. We appreciate the support provided through manpower, apparatus and water. We would also like to thank the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol for their assistance. Thank you to all!
