Our office just received a heartwarming surprise from the lovely ladies of Oak Woods Manor, who generously donated Easter baskets to some of our township's children, further demonstrating their unwavering commitment to kindness and community support that inspires us all.

The Center Township Advisory Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday March 3rd has been cancelled as we have no business to vote on. Our next meeting is Tuesday April 7th at 6:00 pm.

Just a quick reminder that the Pax Center Food Pantry is open today from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. We're at 605 Washington Street, and we're here to help keep LaPorte County well-fed.

Whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time, we'd love to see you. Our pantry is completely accessible to all: no barriers, just a community supporting each other. See you soon!

Good Morning!

I just want to take a little time out this morning to thank everyone for your continued donations to our office whether it be plastic bags, food, hats, gloves, blankets, etc. Because of your continued generosity we have been able to utilize these for our clients who appreciate them more than you know!

At this time we are not in need of plastic bags, hats, gloves, blankets, etc. We have tons thanks to your generosity! When we are in need again we will put up another post!

I also want to put out a friendly reminder that our office can not accept any clothing donations unless the clothing is brand new with the tags still on them. If you have clothing that you would like to donate that is not brand new, but in good condition, you can take those items to Giggles Boutique or St. Vincent DePaul both here in LaPorte. We refer our clients to both organizations if they are in need of clothing.

UPDATE: We no longer have the box of toys, however we have 3 food boxes left. 10:18 a.m.

Good Morning!

We have a box of toys that someone did not come to pick up and we have 5 food boxes left. This is for LaPorte residents only. What is required:

1. You MUST be in LaPorte. Please bring your I.D. If your I.D. does not reflect a LaPorte address you will be turned away.

2. We will pass these out until they are gone, or until 11 a.m.

3. THIS WILL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
