We're sitting with a lot of gratitude tonight..
Facilitating our first Community Conversations honestly went better than we could have hoped! 🥹 Seeing people show up, listen to each other, and have respectful conversations about important issues meant a lot.

Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in good faith. That kind of energy is exactly what makes conversations like this possible!

We also wrote a general summary of what was talked about on the whiteboard so we could capture the different perspectives that were shared in the room. (Hopefully you can read my handwriting!)

Huge thank you to Ryan and Jennifer for taking the time to show up and engage with the community in the way people have been needing! 👏👏👏

We will absolutely be doing more of these. Next time we're also planning to live stream it so more people can follow along and be part of the conversation!

Sioux Falls works best when we listen to each other.

That’s exactly what this event is about.

We’re hosting the first Sioux Falls Community Conversations. A space where residents and City Council members can sit down together, ask questions, share perspectives, and talk about issues impacting our city, including the proposed TIF and other community topics.

This isn’t a debate stage or a place for shouting. It’s an opportunity for thoughtful dialogue, curiosity, and respectful conversation about the future of Sioux Falls.

Strong communities are built when people take the time to listen and engage with one another. Our hope is that this can be the start of many conversations like this in the future.
