Honored to run for City Council – Central District

My focus is on what matters most: safe neighborhoods, responsible growth, affordability, and building stronger connections among our community that’s growing in size, diversity, and complexity.

Collaboration at the grassroots level.

Strong neighborhoods don't just happen, they're built when residents such as Lura Roti come together around a shared vision.

Lincoln Commons is a great example of neighbors leading, with support from the city, school district, and private donors.

As a City Councilor, I look forward to supporting neighborhood-led projects that bring people together and strengthen our community.
I'm excited to see the impact Lincoln Commons will have on the Cathedral and Pettigrew neighborhoods once completed.

As Election Day approaches, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me along the way.

Sioux Falls gave my family opportunity, and I’m committed to giving back to the community that helped shape my life. Together, we can build a safer, healthier, and more economically vibrant Sioux Falls.

On June 2nd, I would be honored to earn your vote and serve our community on the Sioux Falls City Council.

Thankful for the endorsement from former Sioux Falls Mayor Rick Knobe, who understands where we’ve been as a city, how we got to where we are today, and the kind of leadership needed to successfully guide Sioux Falls into its next phase of growth.

Thankful to the wonderful residents at Dow Rummel Village. I appreciated the opportunity to speak on my platform, listen, and answer thoughtful questions about the future of our community.

Being an effective city councilor starts with being present, having face-to-face conversations, and staying connected to the people you represent. It also means advocating for all facets of our community and ensuring every voice feels heard as Sioux Falls continues to grow.

Had the opportunity to go on a ride along with the Sioux Falls Police Department and get a firsthand look at some of what officers encounter throughout a shift.

It was insightful seeing the variety of calls they respond to and the challenges that come with serving a growing community. I appreciated the opportunity to listen, ask questions, and learn more about the realities of the job.

I’ve always believed good leadership starts with showing up, listening, and learning directly from the people doing the work every day.

Thank you to Officer Tianna and Chief Thum for the opportunity and for taking the time to make the ride along happen.

One of the greatest challenges in any community is understanding both sides of hardship, those seeking help, and those trying to provide it.

To make meaningful progress on the challenges that our neighbors face, we must own it as an entire community.

Financial contributions, volunteers, mentors, and collaborative partners are always needed.

One of the oldest public-private partnerships in the city, Great Plains Zoo continues to show what collaboration can accomplish.

By working together, we can continue adding and strengthening the quality-of-life assets that make Sioux Falls a great place to live, raise a family, and visit.

The future of Sioux Falls will depend on partnerships, vision, and people willing to work together for the greater good of the community. Excited for what’s ahead for our city.

Water is our most important—and increasingly scarce—resource.

Visiting the purification plant was eye-opening and gave me a deeper understanding of the work behind it. That understanding helps me better advocate for you.

Thank you to all the City of Sioux Falls employees at the purification plant whose important work often goes unnoticed.

It was great to be back at my old stomping grounds, Washington High School, for Community of Cultures Day. I’m grateful for the amazing and caring educators who pour into students every single day.

To the students—keep showing up. Keep pushing yourself, even when it’s hard. The effort you put in today will open doors tomorrow. You’re more capable than you think, and your future is full of opportunity.

They even allowed us to run in the Halls😊
