I’m proud to co-sponsor the Right to Farm constitutional amendment, which will give voters the opportunity to protect the right to engage in farming and forestry.

If we want agriculture to thrive in North Carolina, we must take meaningful steps to support the hardworking men and women who make it possible and ensure this way of life remains strong for generations to come.

Today, I voted to give North Carolina voters the opportunity to place common-sense limits on rapid property tax increases through a constitutional amendment on the November ballot. BUDGET UPDATE 🚨 North Carolina is making major investments in the people who keep our state strong. Our budget agreement includes record raises for teachers, law enforcement officers, correctional officers, and state employees — while also continuing to deliver tax relief for hardworking families. I’m especially proud to support raising starting teacher pay to the highest in the South and strengthening support for local law enforcement across North Carolina.
