Join us starting at 5 p.m. at the Board of Education at on Monday, May 11 as we serve as a respectful counter-argument against Moms for Liberty who will be holding a rally and speaking at the Cabarrus County School Board meeting against trans athletes using the locker room.

From our perspective, the School Board has many more important things to focus on such as a lack of funding, ICE threats, teacher pay, and bullying.

Additionally, the trans community faces so much discrimination from their peers, from the legal system that does not offer protection, and from family members who often oust them. Over half of trans people experience violence and nearly half experience sexual assault. Within school athletics, nearly 46% of trans students face discrimination in school athletics which increases isolation, decreases mental health, and creates a negative experience that normally would be a positive teen experience of belonging to a team.

"Being trans does not define my abilities — it strengthens my resolve to excel and prove that talent and hard work know no gender." —Malaysia Pargo

Non-violence is our strength.
We are firmly committed to non-violence. That’s not just a moral stance—it’s how we build durable power. We reject political violence and intimidation in all forms. Our resistance is strategic, principled, and grounded in the knowledge that peaceful movements win.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. If you are hosting your own event, we expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment. We recommend all participants review our safety and security resource before your event: https://indivisi.org/safety
Indivisible prohibits carrying or bringing any weapon to an Indivisible event, whether or not the person is licensed to carry a firearm or weapon. Weapons include all guns, knives and other items that may be considered dangerous or that could cause harm. We expect hosts to ensure that all volunteers associated with an event are aware of and adhere to this prohibition. If a volunteer shows up at an Indivisible event with a weapon, the individual must be requested to leave.
