This page and content are not about racism. However, the history of the Confederate flag is the representation of slavery and white supremacy. In turn, encapsulates one’s belief system with the inference the confederate flag stands for, the institution of slavery. Not speaking of the confederate flag and its horrific history doesn’t make it go away.
Representations of historical suppression are not progression in America and the City of Apopka.

Bringing light to activities that do not promote or progress relations in Apopka does not make you the “bad guy”. It makes you the brave and honest one directly calling out what everyone else is burying their heads about.

“I am a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal for Desert Storm and the Air Force Commendation Medal for saving someone’s life while active duty!”

To me being an USAF Veteran is knowing that my fellow comrades will fight to defend our Nation and undoubtedly have my back. This week I was able to witness my son walk the same parade grounds I walked 31 years ago. He is the second generation USAF BMT graduate and third generation military BMT graduate 🇺🇸
