A Special Day for Downsville FFA!

The Downsville FFA Chapter was incredibly proud to host members of the New York FFA State Officer Team and National FFA Officers!

Our Downsville FFA Officer Team had the opportunity to speak with these outstanding leaders, ask questions, share about our chapter, and learn more about their experiences in FFA. Our members also received an inspirational and motivating message from one of our State Officers about leadership, growth, and rising to challenges.

For our chapter, opportunities like this represent another exciting milestone in the continued growth of Downsville FFA. From rebuilding our chapter to welcoming State and National FFA leaders into our school, we are proud of how far our members and program have come—and even more excited about where we are headed!

A huge thank you to the New York FFA State Officers and National FFA Officers for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit Downsville and make this experience possible for our students.

“Tyler has demonstrated leadership on and off the field in practice as well as this week in our games. Tyler always has a positive attitude and is the first one there to help a teammate. Tyler currently leads the team offensively with 6 goals and 2 assists in the first three games of the season. Tyler has been a great asset to the WD program since beginning his career in 7th grade.
Congratulations Tyler!”

Congratulations to our Varsity Girls Soccer Athlete of the Week, Sadie K!

Comments from the Coach:
“Sadie stepped into a huge role as a freshman, playing in goal for our first two games of the season, and she has approached the challenge with incredible poise, determination, and confidence. In our game against Sidney, Sadie had an outstanding performance with 17 saves, consistently stepping up when we needed her most. She wasn’t afraid to come out of the net, demand the ball, and make big plays for her team. Sadie has already proven to be a tremendous asset to our team, and we are so excited to see how she continues to grow, compete, and lead throughout the season!”
