HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Celebrated on the first Monday of September, Labor Day recognizes the men and women who labor to build this country. Through a time-honored tradition with roots in the coordinated efforts of the labor movement of the 1800s, we salute the American workforce.

Since the founding of the United States, the country has relied on its workforce for its infrastructure. From its streets and buildings to its transportation and security, the nation runs on labor. The labor of what we create, build, and harvest fuels our education and inspires our dreams.

Every dog deserves a happy, safe, and abuse-free life. Dogs bring us companionship, help keep us safe, support those in need, and play an important role in our physical and mental well-being. ❤️🐶

A special thank you to our LACP K-9 partners who serve alongside our officers every day. We’re especially loving K-9 Diablo and his adorable booties, which help protect his paws from the scorching summer heat! 🐾☀️

💗 Kicking Off the 2026 Pink Patch Project Season! 💗

The Los Angeles County Probation Department was proud to participate in the Los Angeles County Police Chiefs’ Association (LACPCA) Pink Patch Project photo shoot aboard the historic USS Iowa, joining dozens of Police Chiefs and public safety professionals from across the region.

Launched more than 10 years ago, the LACPCA initiative has grown into a national and international movement involving more than 1,200 public safety agencies.

We’re especially proud of SDPOs Roman and Perico for representing the best of LA County Probation and helping support this important effort to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer. 💗

On August 24th, and Fire Departments honored the brave men who perished in the Canyon Fire on August 23rd, 1968. Marking the 58th anniversary of the tragic loss of L.A. County Probation Fire Crew 4-4 and L.A. County Firefighter Specialist George Thomas, the ceremony was held at the Memorial Plaque, Fire station 97 in Azusa. The LA County Probation Department Honor Guard performed a wreath ceremony and taps for the fallen heroes.

August 23 marks 58 years since L.A. County Probation Fire Crew 4-4 and Fireman Specialist George Thomas lost their lives in the Encanto “Canyon” Fire. We honor their courage, service and sacrifice. Their legacy will never be forgotten.
