You may see changes in your power at work or home. Flickers, ons, offs, some may even have power only in some areas of the building or some appliances and not others.

Please do not worry. This is just the crews working on transformers, phases, legs, and probably elbows too. It is all part of restoring your power. Mother Nature did quite a job this morning.

Power outage
The Telegraph substation was damaged during both storms last night. Crews are on-site and working in-mass to restore power.
No estimated timeline at the moment.

Thank you to the crew-members who were up in the middle of the night working and were still on site when the dangerous, torrential, rain and rain came down later in the morning. You job is not easy in good weather, let alone when water is coming at electrical lines sideways.

Code Enforcement activities, this week, included: 31 inspections

1. 15 new w**d and grass violations.
2. 1 blight violation re-inspections closed, cleaned by home owner.
3. 11 blight violations re-inspections, unresolved.
4. 1 new blight violation.
5. 1 abandon automobile violation re-inspection, unresolved.
6. 1 exterior property maintenance violations re-inspection, resolved by home owner.
7. 1 exterior property maintenance violation re-inspection, unresolved.

Reminder
-Utilize the First Saturday Clean Ups to dispose of your household junk.
-Mow grass clipping back into your yard, not into the streets.

Road Closure
Depot Drive will be closed to through traffic, near the intersection with Park Place, between City Hall and the train depot beginning Tuesday morning 4/23/24.

Concrete, in the crosswalk, will cure and Depot Drive will reopen on Wednesday, May 1.

Intersection closure.

Both ends of downtown Front Street will remain open, with parking only on the West side, leaving room for cars to enter, u-turn and leave the way they came in.

Work begins today on sewer lines at the intersection of Oak, James, and Telegraph. We anticipate the intersection to be closed for the week.

Cherry/Walnut, Andrews/Grand, and Mary Streets
-Curbing has been poured & storm structures set
-Roads have been milled/pulverized
-Paving scheduled for next week

If it's summer, it's construction season.

Paving is underway, on side streets, across the city.
In the next week, or so, there will be various detours on N. Front and E. Division for sewer/water/projects, and, potential temporary delays on south bound Riverside for the park project.

If there are any major changes in traffic, we will let you know.
