The Sister Lakes Fire Department would like to invite everyone to our Annual 4th of July event.

Stop by the station anytime between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to meet your local firefighters, tour the station and apparatus, enjoy a hot dog and cold drink, and check out our 2026 department shirt. This year we will also have challenge coins available for purchase.

We'll also be hosting the annual parade. Line-up begins at 4:00 PM at Sister Lakes Community Church, with the parade stepping off at 5:00 PM.

Bring your decorated bikes, golf carts, tractors, classic cars, floats, or just come out and enjoy the day with friends and neighbors. All are welcome, however due to the parade route length we do not encourage any walking entries.

We appreciate the continued support of our community and look forward to seeing everyone on the 4th.

Due to the proximity of the tornado warned storm and out of an abundance of caution we set off the tornado siren at the fire department.

Today, the Sister Lakes Fire Department pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer or a long weekend—it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave their lives protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we gather with family and friends, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember our fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward.

Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.

Today, the Sister Lakes Fire Department would like to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing moms in our community and everywhere.

Thank you for the love, strength, guidance, and sacrifices you make each and every day. Mothers are often the quiet heroes behind the scenes — supporting families, lifting others up, and making our communities stronger through their care and dedication.

You can feel it… longer days, warmer air, and that sense that lake season is right around the corner

Around Sister Lakes, it’s that time of year when everything starts coming back to life — boats getting prepped, docks going in, and everyone getting ready to enjoy the outdoors again.

It’s also the season where you’ll start seeing our local farmers out on the roads more often, moving equipment and getting fields ready for planting. Please slow down, stay alert, and give them plenty of space — they’re a big part of what makes this community what it is.

As things pick up, we just ask everyone to keep safety in mind so we can all enjoy the warmer days ahead.
