I am so incredibly proud of each building level team and our district response team! Many hours of training and drills have gone into today's certification. Teams had to perform life saving measures for 10-15 minutes before EMS showed up. They had to show proficiency in CPR, rescue breathing, AED set up and shock delivery. So proud of our nurses who have put in countless hours of building teams, training, preparing drills, and adding life saving equipment in key locations across campus. Proud of these Pirates! 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

🌿✨ Hammock Garden Complete! ✨🌿

What started as an idea is now a beautiful space for students to relax, read, and recharge—thanks to a grant from the Dover Public Education Foundation (written by Mrs. Taylor & Mrs. Roe) and the incredible support of our community!

A HUGE thank you to those who donated their time, materials, and tools to bring this vision to life:

🛠️ Jr Marpel
🛠️ Kyle Lynch & Dewayne Boxnick
🛡️ SROs Justin Taylor & Willis Morris
⛽ Nathan Huggins & Crew – Arkansas Petroleum Solutions

This space is the perfect addition to our Buccaneer Wilderness Area and reflects the hard work and heart that make Dover special. 🖤

It was such a great day at DES helping with the Firefighter Challenge and seeing our students work so hard to turn in their best time on the course! Thank you Russellville Fire Dept. and Fire Marshal Ken Lederman for all the effort you put into our students!

I got the amazing opportunity to train today with Chief McMillan with ATU Department of Public Safety at the Pope County Law Enforcement Training Center.

The class was a pistol red dot transition class. Formal instruction on how to operate a red dot on a pistol was the main focus. Chief McMillan did an amazing job with all the students teaching the fundamentals of the pistol red dot. We ran several drills and shot hundreds of rounds of ammo.

The most interesting part of the class was rewiring your brain to focus on the target, not on the front sight. This included the front of our red dot covered in painters tape for the majority of the class!! Working on our draw stroke, not hunching down on the sight, grip, bringing our red dot into the field of view, and keeping the dot in view. I still have more to learn, but great strides were made today.

Thank you Chief McMillan for including me! We are also very blessed to have a facility in Pope County that makes training on nasty weather days possible!
