Yesterday, the Delaware Division of Small Business was proud to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for A Kidz World LLC in New Castle as the business celebrated an exciting new chapter. ✂️🎉

Director CJ Bell shared remarks recognizing the importance of small businesses in strengthening Delaware communities and creating opportunities for local families.

A Kidz World LLC, a minority-owned business, received $490,000 through our SSBCI Delaware Loan Participation Program (DELPP), helping support its growth and continued impact in the community.

Join us on June 12 at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark for Delaware’s first World Cup Watch Party and experience the excitement of the world’s biggest sporting event right here in “The First State.”

Before kickoff, explore the FREE Fan Festival beginning at 7:00 p.m., featuring local vendors, food trucks, community organizations, family-friendly activities, and more. It’s a great opportunity to support small businesses while connecting with fellow soccer fans from across Delaware!

The Delaware Division of Small Business was proud to participate in the 2026 Latino Summit, joining community leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and organizations from across the state for a day of connection, learning, and opportunity. 🤝

Hosted by the Delaware Hispanic Commission, the Summit focused on empowering Delaware’s Latino community through networking, resource sharing, professional development, and conversations around economic empowerment and community growth.

Please join us in congratulating Jordan McKee on his promotion to Sports Sales Leader for the Delaware Tourism Office!

Since joining the team as Sports Tourism Coordinator, Jordan has played an important role in advancing Delaware's sports tourism efforts. In his new position, he will lead the recruitment and support of regional, national, and international sporting events that drive visitation and economic impact throughout Delaware.

Jordan will also oversee key sports tourism incentive programs, including the TEAMS Program and Sports Tourism Capital Investment Fund, while continuing to build strong relationships with event organizers, sports governing bodies, facilities, hotels, and community partners.

With more than a decade of experience spanning college athletics, national team programming, youth development, and event operations, Jordan brings a wealth of expertise and passion to this role.

Congratulations, Jordan! We look forward to seeing Delaware's sports tourism industry continue to grow under your leadership.

Congratulations to the 28 Delaware businesses and organizations selected to receive funding through the Delaware Grocery Initiative and First State Food System Program! 🥕🍎

Just over $700,000 in grant funding was awarded to projects across all three counties to help expand access to healthy, affordable food in communities identified as food deserts or at risk of becoming food deserts. Funding will support a wide range of efforts, including fresh food distribution, cold storage expansion, farm infrastructure improvements, community food access programs, and supply chain enhancements.
