Hargers Rock

Hargers Rock Hargers Rock is a massive boulder moved into place during the Wisconsin glaciation which ended over eleven thousand years ago.

This large boulder is elongated and runs in a Northern and Southern direction. It sits atop a hill running parallel with Ervin road just outside of Dover Ohio. At one time the hillside up to Hargers was completely wooded but has recently been mined and backfilled. The boulder is easy to see thru the small surrounding of trees during fall and winter months. A distinctive "table" which is part of th

e boulder sits on the lower portion of the boulder on its most northern end. The West side of the boulder is considerably higher than the eastern side as a drop in terrain allows more rock face to be visible.
