Dover City Schools DCS is proud to provide quality academics, athletics and arts to create .

The Dover City School District is located in northern Tuscarawas County. Instruction is delivered in the district’s facilities, which include one high school, one middle school and three elementary buildings. The district’s enrollment is 2,864 students and employs 191 certified and 90 classified staff members. Students in grades preschool through 12 are offered a wide range of curriculum offerings

which includes special programs for students with special needs and talented and gifted students. Dover students also participate in quality athletic programs, clubs, and activities that enhance the learning process.

to last month's Field Day at Dover Avenue! ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Even with some rainy weather, students made the most of the day as activities were split into two half days. From popsicles and water games to cup stacking, running events, annual relays, and the always-popular tug-of-war, there was no shortage of fun and school spirit!

This hands-on camp is open to all incoming 7th and 8th-grade students for the 2026-2027 school year and offers a unique opportunity to explore careers in manufacturing through real-world experiences and interactive activities.

📅 Camp Dates: July 14-16, 2026
📍 Location: Buckeye Career Center

Students will:
• Participate in hands-on manufacturing activities
• Explore career pathways in manufacturing
• Gain real-world experience from industry professionals
• Learn how manufacturing impacts our community and economy

From warm greetings to setting up BINGO boards and tickets, they made sure our staff felt celebrated. Plus, they got to share breakfast with some truly amazing teachers and staff! 🍳

We are excited to celebrate another incredible retiree from Dover City Schools! ❤️

Beth Mathews, Intervention Specialist and Varsity Volleyball Coach at Dover High School, is retiring after 35 years in education, including 34 years at Dover City Schools.

One of Beth's fondest memories was guiding the Lady Tornado Volleyball team to its first Regional Championship in 1996 and having the privilege of coaching in the program's first-ever Final Four appearance. 🏐🌪️

As she begins retirement, Beth looks forward to spending more time with family and friends, focusing on her health, and enjoying the activities she loves most.

Thank you, Beth, for your decades of dedication to Dover students, athletes, and families. Your impact on our school community will be felt for years to come. We wish you all the best in retirement! 👏❤️

Please join us in congratulating Erin Margletta, who has been named the new principal of Dover Middle School! 🎉

A familiar face in the building, Mrs. Margletta has served as assistant principal for the past three years and brings 22 years of experience in education, including 18 years in Dover City Schools.

As a Dover graduate, longtime educator, and dedicated leader, she knows the students, staff, and community well. Dover City Schools looks forward to the leadership and experience she will bring to this new role. Congratulations, Mrs. Margletta! 👏

🦖 No end-of-the-year slump here! Mrs. Robinson's second graders at Dover East dove into paleontology the last week of May.

By studying real fossils and comparing them to living organisms, these young scientists uncovered what our world looked like long ago. We love seeing our Tornadoes explore, discover, and learn! 🌪️❤️
