🧗‍♀️ NEXT WEEK They're Going Over the Edge for Dover Children's Home! 🧗‍♂️

Our incredible team of Over the Edge participants has worked hard to raise nearly $11,000 to support the mission of Dover Children's Home - and now it's our turn to support them!

Next Tuesday, five amazing DCH supporters will be taking a leap of courage as they rappel down 24 stories of the Brady Sullivan building in Manchester as part of Over the Edge, hosted by United Way of Greater Nashua.

🍎🥪 Food Donations Needed! 🥯🥗

Dover Children's Home is hosting a three-day TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention®) training for community members, and we're looking for support with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages for our attendees.

If you're able to provide food items for one of the training days, we'd be incredibly grateful! Each day's needs are designed to serve approximately 12 people.

Food Needs

Monday 6/22 (morning delivery) - Bag of apples, bag of clementines, bananas, 12-pack seltzer, 12-pack Diet Coke, 8-pack Gatorade, paper plates, small paper bowls, napkins

Monday 6/22 (evening delivery) - Muffins, berries, juice, store-bought chicken and egg salad with green salad, charcuterie board

Tuesday 6/23 (evening delivery) - Mini bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, hard-boiled eggs, juice, burrito bowl fixings for lunch, veggie tray with ranch, pita, and hummus

Wednesday 6/24 (evening delivery) - Yogurt, granola, fruit, juice, sandwich fixings (bread, ham, turkey), chips, watermelon, cookies

Busy bees 🐝 writing Thank You cards for our NH Gives donors!

Kristina Cerniauskas is on our Development Committee and Jenn Stauffis of Partners Bank is on our Board of Directors. Both of them took time out of their morning to express gratitude from DCH to our incredible donors. 💚

We hit it out of the park for nhgives and are so so grateful to all who made this possible.

What an incredible 24 hours! 💙

Thanks to the generosity of 92 amazing donors, our dedicated peer-to-peer fundraisers, and the unwavering support of this community, Dover Children's Home raised $10,625 during NH Gives!

We are beyond grateful to everyone who donated, shared our posts, encouraged others to give, and helped spread the word. Every gift makes a difference in the lives of the youth we serve, and this year's support will help provide meaningful summer experiences, opportunities, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Our community is everything. Thank you for believing in our mission and investing in the future of the young people in our care.

🎉 NH Gives Update! 🎉

We are so excited to share that, thanks to the generosity of 57 amazing donors, Dover Children's Home has raised $8,305 so far during NH Gives!

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our campaign, and cheered us on. We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to Shaheen & Gordon PA and Partners Bank for their incredible matching gifts that have helped boost donations and bring us closer to our goal.

But we're not done yet! We have just 6.5 hours left and are still working toward our $12,000 goal.

Your support helps provide summer activities, hobbies, life-enriching experiences, and independent living opportunities for youth in our care. From learning new skills to creating positive memories, these experiences help our young people build confidence and discover their strengths.

We want to extend a HUGE shout out and thank you to our Peer-to-Peer fundraisers - a number of our staff, board members, Development Committee members, as well as one of our youth mentors. 💚✨ We have quite the team working on this event, and we are incredibly grateful for the 27 donors who have supported us in this so far. 🚨 NH Gives starts TODAY at 5:00 PM! 🚨

The countdown is on! NH Gives is a 24-hour statewide day of giving, and you have the power to make a lasting impact on the lives of youth at Dover Children's Home.

This year, we're raising funds to support the experiences and opportunities that make summer truly special for the young people in our care. Your donation will help provide:
🐴 Horseback riding lessons that build confidence, trust, and joy
🚗 Driver's education that opens doors to independence and future opportunities
☀️ Summer programming, activities, and experiences that create positive memories and encourage healthy risk-taking

On behalf of Dover Children's Home, congratulations to the Dover High School Class of 2026, who graduated last night! We want to give a special shoutout to Connor Lazarz, President of the Dover High School National Honor Society. 🎓

For the past three years, Connor has been an integral part of the DHS NHS, and this year, as president, he led the group's meal donation efforts for Dover Children's Home. Throughout the year, Connor was incredibly professional, organized, communicative, and attentive to every detail. When he recognized an increased need within our program, he didn't hesitate to step up - expanding NHS meal donations from once a month to twice a month. 🥘🥦

This fall, Connor will attend Bates College, where he plans to study Political Science with minors in Philosophy and History. He'll also be competing as a member of both the track and football teams.

From all of us at Dover Children's Home: thank you, Connor, for your generosity, and dedication to serving others. We know your future is bright, and your kind heart and willingness to help those around you will take you far. Best of luck in this next chapter - we wish you the best! ✨
