Did you know that in addition to Pride Month, June is also Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month?

Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia affect millions of individuals and families across the country. This month serves as an opportunity to raise awareness, promote understanding, and support ongoing efforts to advance research, improve care, and strengthen resources for those impacted by cognitive decline.

Brain health is important at every stage of life. By learning about risk factors, recognizing early signs, and supporting inclusive communities, we can help ensure that individuals living with Alzheimer's and related conditions receive the respect, support, and services they deserve.

Join the GACEC in recognizing Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month and helping spread awareness about the importance of brain health for all.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. On this Memorial Day, the GACEC joins communities across the nation in reflecting on the courage, dedication, and service of those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

As we spend time with family and loved ones, we also take a moment to recognize and remember the heroes whose sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Today is World Health Day!

Celebrated each year on April 7, World Health Day marks the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) and serves as a reminder of the importance of global health. The day was created to raise awareness about key health challenges and to inspire action toward building stronger, more equitable healthcare systems for all.

At the GACEC, we believe that access to quality, inclusive healthcare is essential, especially for individuals with disabilities and exceptional needs.
