Dolores County Senior Services is selling chance drawing tickets for a Traeger grill package. Package includes grill, bag of pellets, grill tools, $100 variety box of meats and a 25 lb box of assorted bratwurst donated by Keith and Renae Schear with Hensley's Meat. Tickets are 1 for $10 or 3 for $25 and are available at the Pioneer Center.
We are also doing a 50/50 split the pot drawing. Winner takes half and Senior Services takes half. Tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. All proceeds go to benefit Dolores County Senior Services. Call the Pioneer Center at 970-677-2787 for more information.

We had a special guest help us with the Pledge of Allegiance today. Shayne and his mom volunteer at the Pioneer Center 3 days a week. We love having them there and appreciate all they do for us!

We had our annual volunteer appreciation lunch today at the Pioneer Center. In 2025 we had 32 volunteers who donated 1,170 hours for a savings to Senior Services of $17,550. Thank you volunteers!! We couldn't do it without you💜

Dolores County Senior Services will be accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Cook. This position will be 12 to 16 hours per week. To be considered, a current application must be filed and applicants must be 18 years or older. Preferred experience with senior citizens. Preferred kitchen experience. Must be able to perform required record keeping as well as following federal regulations. CBI and CAPS background checks are required. Starting hourly wage is $15.85 an hour. Benefits include Holiday pay, PTO and other benefits. Applications are available at https://dolocnty.colorado.gov/bids-and-jobs, the Commissioner's office in the Courthouse at 409 N. Dolores County Senior Services is accepting applications for 2 part-time Drivers. To be considered, a current application must be filed and applicants must be 18 years or older.
Preferred experience with senior citizens. Preferred driving experience. Must be able to perform required record keeping as well as following federal and state regulations. CBI and CAPS background checks are required. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing required.
Starting hourly wage is $15.85 an hour for van driver and $16.55 an hour for bus driver.
Benefits include Holiday pay PTO, and other benefits.

Thank you to Hill Country Band for coming to the Pioneer Center today! They entertained through lunch and then sang Christmas Carols with our seniors after lunch. Great way to kick off the holiday season🎄❄️☃️

Had such a great time at the Pioneer Center today for our Halloween party. The employees dressed like inmates and we had a senior be our warden and we found a bum along the way and we had a great group for the cake walk. Great job my little jailbirds on a fun day. I think everyone enjoyed it.
