The Log cabin was built in 1958 By Buster and Cricket Sutton,They had run a store very similar on Campbellton Road in Atlanta for many years then focused on the Log cabin.. Buster bought the land for $1000 and the Purchased the Logs for $1000. With assistance of his Sons Bobby and Benny Sutton, The log cabin was built. The Restaurant was also used as an auction house and the Store on the end sold

all kinds of anything including the regular, bread, milk, candy, Coke and to***co products. They Gas station was full service and could also provide limited repairs to the you on down the road. The Cabin's location is at the corner of Old Hwy 166 (Britt Road) and new hwy 166 Campbellton Road Just across the Chattahoochee River from Fulton County in Douglas County Georgia. The Second Owners: Johnnie Bell, His son Marty and his Wife Ran the business 11 years from 1977 - 1988. The Current Owners: Soo and Sook Bang purchased the Cabin in 1988 and are currently Closing business due to the excessive expense to rework the sewer system. Soo was the greatest cook, though Sook also cooked, Mr Bang was always flipping burgers, making Biscuits, Cornbread, and all the country fixins. Every morning Sook was chopping Greens, Peeling Potatoes and Stiring beans. Such good stuff and cooked to keep you active and healthy. Our only hope as a community is that there is some way the Original Landmark can be preserved.

The Log Cabin restaurant stood for 67 years and today, September 6, 2025 demolition has begun. We’re getting another gas station, at least it’s not a car wash. note the rack that stood holding all kinds of candies and gums for the duration. We managed to save that. The stuff inside the shop and gas station country store was basically a time capsule from 1988 when Soo Sook took over the restaurant and did not utilize anything else. Things that were hanging on the wall in 88 were still there today and much of that stuff had been there since the 60s-70s
