“My hand is at the small of your back; I may let you stumble, but I will never let you fall.” — Maya Angelou

January is Mental Wellness Month, a time to honor emotional care, healing, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going. Dr. Angelou reminds us that we are not meant to navigate life alone — that support, love, and compassion can hold us steady even when we falter.

Caring for our mental well-being is not a weakness. It is an act of courage, trust, and self-preservation.

You are allowed to stumble. You are never meant to fall alone. 🤍

Today, October 29, is National Cat Day in the United States. It's a day to celebrate cats and raise awareness about cat adoption, spaying, and neutering to help reduce the number of cats in shelters. Visit for more.

What it is: National Cat Day is an annual observance in the U.S. to celebrate our feline companions.

Purpose: The day encourages people to adopt cats from shelters instead of buying from breeders. It also promotes spaying and neutering to help control cat overpopulation.

How to celebrate: You can celebrate by adopting a cat, donating to a local shelter, spoiling your own cat with treats and toys, or simply sharing cute cat pictures and videos online.

Related celebrations: Be aware that International Cat Day is on August 8. The date October 29 was chosen by its founder, Colleen Paige, for the U.S. celebration.
