Bryce Tate, a 15-year-old high school student, tragically took his own life after being targeted by a s*xtortion scam. The scammers posed as a 17-year-old girl, gaining Bryce's trust by mentioning mutual friends and places he frequented, like his gym.

Within three hours, Bryce received 120 text messages from the scammers, who demanded $500 in exchange for not sharing explicit photos he had sent. Bryce offered his last $30, but it wasn't enough. The scammers encouraged him to take his own life, telling him his life was over ¹ ² ³.

Bryce's death highlights the dangers of online exploitation, with the FBI reporting a rise in s*xtortion cases targeting minors. His family is advocating for awareness and support to prevent similar tragedies ⁴ ⁵ ².
