🥁 Drumroll Please‼️

Although we are a few days past the “official” National Telecommunicators Week, we want to honor this years Telecommunicator of the Year, Communications Officer II, Anna Lamas.

As a COII, Anna has quickly learned her positions and continues to grow with confidence and skill. What stands out most is her willingness, to help others, to step in when needed, and to keep learning in a role where growth never stops, recently completing coursework for promotion to Communications Training Officer.

She shows up with purpose, supports her team, and handles the work with the kind of focus and dedication that defines this profession.

This recognition is well earned.

Join us in celebrating our Telecommunicator of the Year for the impact she is already making and the example she continues to set. 💛

🎡 Now THIS is how you host Telecommunicator Week.

A special shoutout to this year’s incredible Chair and her amazing team Amanda Renee Reives who designed, implemented, and truly brought the carnival to life inside our 911 center. From the moment you walked in, you could feel it, the colors, the energy, the laughter, and yes……ALL the snacks. Fresh popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and all the carnival favorites turned an already meaningful week into a full experience.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better… the smokehouse feast. Her dad came through in a major way with a spread that fed both the body and the soul, mac and cheese, beef, collard greens, pork, and all the trimmings. It was more than a meal, it was love served on a plate fueling the heroes behind the headsets.

But what made it all special was the heart behind it. In a profession that carries so much weight, creating moments like this matters. You executed an experience!

Thank you for going all out and making this Telecommunicator Week unforgettable. 🎡🍿🍧🔥💛

During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we were proud to recognize Jacob as the recipient of our Heart of Service Award.

Jacob embodies what it means to serve beyond the headset. He is always willing to step in, lend a hand, and support his team without hesitation. His positive and pleasant spirit is steady, genuine, and felt by everyone around him. In a high-stress environment, that kind of presence matters, it shifts the energy in the room and reminds us who we are and why we do this work.

Service is not just about answering the call, it is about how you show up for the people beside you.

Join us in celebrating Jacob for the heart he brings to this work every single day. 💛

During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we were proud to recognize one of our own with the Rising Star Award.

This award honors an operator who is already showing tremendous potential and a clear commitment to excellence. In just a few short months, CO Marquis McNeil has been promoted to Communications Officer I and has stood out in one of the most critical areas of our work, emergency medical dispatch. Earning the title of EMD GOAT multiple times reflects a level of consistency, accuracy, and focus that directly impacts the care our callers receive.

This recognition is a reminder that even early in the journey, dedication and discipline matter.

Join us in celebrating a Rising Star who is already making a powerful difference behind the headset. ⭐
