🚧 Street Maintenance Notice 🚧

South Central Sealing and Paving will be in Douglass working on city streets as part of our street maintenance program. The streets affected and the notice that residents will receive on their doors are shown in the graphic below.

Please note:
• If you need to cross into your driveway after the slurry seal has been applied, wait at least 4 hours before driving on the surface.
• Do not make sharp turns or spin your tires on the new slurry seal. Doing so can damage the fresh surface and may cause damage to your vehicle.

📢 Council Meeting Rescheduled

The Douglass City Council meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, has been rescheduled and will now be held on Tuesday, June 16, at 6:30 PM at City Hall.

💧 Utility Bill Reminder 💧
City of Douglass utility payments are due on the 15th of each month
• Late fees assessed: 16th of the month
• Water shut off for non-payment: 25th of the month
• If a due date falls on a weekend, the deadline moves to the following Monday.

Payments can be made:

City of Douglass Community Garage Sale is taking place from June 12th, 2026 - June 13th, 2026!
Stop by City Hall at 322 S. Forrest to obtain a permit, fees will be waived for these dates.
A map will be created of all garage sale addresses based on permit applications. Get those in by June 11th to be added to the list!

📢 Reminder: City Hall will begin operating under new office hours starting Monday, June 1, 2026. We will open 30 minutes earlier each day and remain open through the lunch hour.

🚛 Attention Douglass Waste Connections Customers 🚛

Waste Connections missed homes on 1st Street east of Highway 77 during the scheduled pickup on May 25, 2026. Crews will return tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, to collect those carts.

If you live in the affected area, please leave your trash cart at the curb.
