My dear family, friends, and supporters,

When I decided to run for Coffee County Tax Commissioner, never in my wildest dreams did I see myself where I am today. I am so blessed and humbled to be able to serve as your next tax commissioner. I will forever be grateful to each and every one of you who supported me throughout this journey. I couldn’t not have accomplished this goal without all of you. I ran a clean race, based on my promise to make the tax office a welcoming and helpful place, where I will make sure to help you to the best of my ability in a quick and timely manner. Thank you again and I look forward to seeing you all in a few months when I take office.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for all of the support and kind words throughout my campaign for Coffee County Tax Commissioner. At this time, I don’t feel that I can adequately put into words just how thankful and blessed that I feel right now. From the beginning, I decided that I would run a honest and clean race and I hope that it showed to all of you. 🌸💗Meet the lady behind the PINK signs! 💗🌸

My name is Angela (Angie) Harper and I would like to be the next Coffee County Tax Commissioner.

I am a lifelong resident of Coffee County. My parents are Bonnie Tucker and the late Sherill Tucker of Ambrose, Ga. I was married to the late Chris Harper, son of Wanda Harper and the late Lamar Harper, of Douglas. We have two children, Candace (Kyle) Grist and Calan (Kristin) Harper. I have five grandchildren Harper Grist, Hunter Grist, Anna Kate Harper, Caroline Harper, and Cade Harper. I am engaged to George Boyd of Pridgen, Ga., son of Lila Boyd, owner of Lila’s Plants for over 30 years. I have two brothers, Mickey (Ann) Tucker and Rickey (Christina) Tucker, of Ambrose and one sister, Marlene (Steve) Vickers, of Douglas. I have been a member of Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Upon my graduation from Coffee High School in 1981, I obtained an accounting degree from Ben Hill-Irwin Technical College. After raising my children, I decided to go back to school and I earned my Nursing (RN) degree from ABAC in 1999. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of many jobs. I’ve been a school nurse for Broxton-Mary Hayes Elementary School, worked as an RN at Plameon- Gaskins Retirement Home in Ocilla, Ga, and currently, I am the office manager for Industrial Controls and George E. Boyd Drilling. My daily tasks include payroll, bookkeeping, and managing employees for both companies.

As your tax commissioner, I promise to work diligently to serve the citizens of Coffee County. The number one question I’ve been asked during my campaign is what I will do to make sure the phones are answered in the office and calls are returned. If I am elected, I will implement a “two ring policy.” Your call will be answered quickly and messages will be returned. I will always try to solve any problems or answer any questions in a timely and fair manner. If I can’t, I will make sure that you are directed to the person that can.

I humbly ask for your vote and support as I seek the position of your Coffee County Tax Commissioner on June 18th.
