🇺🇸 SAVE THE DATE: Liberty & Service — The Citizen and the Soldier 🪖

Scouting America Pack/Troop 92, in partnership with The American Legion Garrison-Bonds Post 184, is hosting a special one-day event focused on citizenship, service, and the meaning of American ideals as we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation.

📅 Date: Saturday, May 9th
📍 Location: Garrison-Bonds Post 184, Double Springs, AL
⏰ Time: 9AM - 5PM (Scouts) 1PM-5PM Cubs

Scouts will:
✅ Learn directly from veterans about military service
✅ Explore the founding ideals of the United States and how they apply today
✅ Participate in hands-on activities and discussions
✅ Help conduct a respectful flag retirement ceremony
✅ Work toward completion of key Scouting requirements

This will be a meaningful, engaging experience that connects history, service, and real-life responsibility.

This Financial Literacy Workshop on Saturday November 15th is Mason Overton's Eagle Project. The workshop is free for the public and lunch will be provided to those who register. You can register via the QR code below or email [email protected].

The workshop will be held at Garrison-Bonds Post 184 - 60 New Legion Road, Double Springs, AL 35553.

Troop 92 will be giving out free hot chocolate at the ’s Amphitheater Complex and Cultural Center Country Christmas Festival this Saturday as a good citizenship project in honor of James M. Thank you to everyone who supported the Veterans Appreciation Dinner at Garrison-Bonds Post 184 last night. Thanks also to The Pride of Winston County Band for their performance of the National Anthem and Armed Services medley. Troop 92 had the opportunity to complete one of their requirements for the Citizenship in the Community merit badge at the Double Springs council meeting tonight. After the meeting they discussed the topics from the meeting and leaned a little about civic engagement.
