The first Friday night social/dinner will be on June 5th, 2026 at 6 pm at Ooka Sushi, 4863 Montgomery Hwy, Dothan, AL 36303, Phone 334-792-8080. Phillip Ensler, democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor will attend and speak. Please come out to support him.

Saturday, June 6, the 6th Annual Juneteenth Parada and Celebration, at 10 am, in downtown Dothan, AL sponser by TSEJA, Starts at United Christian Fellowship (Lafayette Street) turns down Foster Street, Troy street, down S. St Andrews and ends at Dothan Civic Center.

Saturday, June 13, 2026, Shared Essentials, Community Potluck, at Hero Park, 44 College Street, Newton, Al (Gazebo and green space on AL-123) starts at 4 pm. Linda will be showing people how to check their voter registration and helping them register if need be.

(One Love Global) Freedom Summer 2026, will run from June 16 - August 4, 2026. Specifically targeting Youth Organizing. Free Summer/Freedom Fall is a national coalition of civil rights, faith, labor, youth and community organizations outgrowth from the “All Roads Lead to the South National Day of Action” held in Alabama. There will be a week of action kicking off in Atlanta, GA on June 17th and activate actions in cities across the nation.

Republicans in North Carolina just proposed a bill that says if a woman is caught with an IUD or attempts to get an abortion then men are allowed to use DEADLY FORCE to try and stop her. They are proposing a bill that will allow men to kill women for using birth control. It’s House Bill 1232. Keith Kidwell is the Republican who proposed the bill. He claims it counts as self defense to use deadly force to stop abortion. This is a man who claims to be pro life. Feel free to give his office a call and let him know how you feel about his opinion.

And for anyone who says “obviously this will never get passed” that’s not the point. The point is it’s fu***ng insanity that a government official would even try to make a law like this.

🚨 BREAKING: Ryan Fournier — co-founder and chairman of Students for Trump and Turning Point Action — has been arrested in Washington, D.C. for domestic violence. Again.

According to a police affidavit obtained by Defector, Fournier was found passed out on the floor of his apartment, apparently intoxicated, when a woman he’d been dating struck up the courage to wake him. His response? He swung his fists and struck her in the face — with a closed fist — two or three times, then climbed on top of her as she tried to defend herself.

His roommate witnessed Fournier swinging a handheld vacuum at the victim, screaming “Do you want to die today?” and “Do you want me to crush your head in with this lamp?” The victim fled to the bathroom, pleading “Don’t let him stab me.”

The Metropolitan Police charged Fournier with simple assault and attempted threats to do bodily harm.

This is the SECOND time in under two years Fournier has been arrested for assaulting a woman. In November 2023, he was charged in North Carolina with assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pistol-whipping his then-girlfriend. Those charges were dropped.

Oh — and Fournier currently holds a position as Deputy Director of Public Affairs at Trump’s Department of Justice.
