Vendor applications are now OPEN for the 22nd Annual Health & Wellness Workshop.

Apply now through Friday, August 14 at 5:00 PM!

This year’s theme: “Launch Into Wellness” 🚀✨

This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with hundreds of community members in a fun, welcoming environment and showcase your services!

We’re looking for health-related vendors including:

🌙 Medical providers
🌙 Fitness
🌙 Mental health
🌙 Nutrition and healthy living
🌙 Self-care
🌙 Financial wellness
🌙 Community organizations and nonprofits

The booth fee is $150 per booth and $25 for nonprofits.

Electricity is an additional $10 fee.

🌞🏕️ The Countdown to Summer Camp is ON! 🏕️🌞

We’re getting closer to an amazing summer and our staff is more than ready! 🙌

They’ve spent time training, preparing, and building skills to make sure every camper has a safe, fun, and memorable experience. From team-building and classroom management to water safety and CPR certification, our team is equipped for it all! 💪

They’ve also learned new and exciting recreation games to keep campers active, engaged, and having FUN all summer long! 🎯🏀

A big thank you to the Dothan Police Department for helping train our staff on emergency awareness and safety. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our camps safe! 🚓💙

🔥 The energy is high, the team is ready, and we can’t wait to welcome our campers!

Dothan, a NEW aquacise mini session is coming to Walton Park this summer!

Whether you're looking to stay active, cool off, or just have fun in the water, this is a great way to do it.

June 15 – July 17
Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8-9AM
📍 122 Walton Park Dr, Dothan, AL
$45 for the 5-week session

Registration is open NOW! To register, stop by the Westgate Wellness Pool during business hours (Monday – Thursday, 7 AM – 7 PM, and Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM).

WATER SAFETY MONTH: Know Your Flags! 🚩

Before you hit the beach this summer, here's what those colored flags actually mean:
🟢 Green Flag — Calm water, low hazard. You're good to go!
🟡 Yellow Flag — Moderate surf or currents. Swim with caution, and keep a close eye on kids and weaker swimmers.
🔴 Red Flag — Strong currents and waves. Stay close to shore or enjoy the view from the sand.
🔴🔴 Double Red Flag — Water is closed to the public. Lifeguards are enforcing it, so please stay out.
🟣 Purple Flag — Dangerous marine life present (think jellyfish or stingrays). Follow lifeguard guidance before getting in.

When in doubt, check the flags and ask a lifeguard. Your safety is worth the 30 seconds it takes.

The 29th Annual Youth Fishing Day is back, and we can't wait to see all the young anglers out at the pond!

If you've got a kid between the ages of 5 and 15 who loves to fish (or has never tried but wants to!), this is the perfect morning. They'll cast their line, compete for prizes, and maybe even show off their most creative fishing outfit. Yes, there's an award for that too!

The top 3 anglers who catch the most fish will take home gift cards, and the first 100 kids to show up will receive a special giveaway thanks to our friends at Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc.!

Last week, Dothan 101 participants got an inside look at what Leisure Services is all about, and we loved every minute of showing them around.

The tour included some of our favorite stops: Dothan's Most Exciting Beach, where they enjoyed dinner poolside with a view of the wave pool; the Westgate Wellness Pool, where an aquacise class was in full swing; the beautiful Westgate Tennis Center; and the Rip Hewes Athletic Complex, where the evening wrapped up with the stadium light show, a look at the new Pickleball Complex, and a little turf time.

It's one thing to talk about what we do for this community, it's another to show it. Thank you, Dothan 101, for letting us do just that.

Congratulations to G.W. Long, Wicksburg, and Houston Academy for advancing to the AHSAA State Tournament AND Kinston, your 2026 1A State Champions! 🏆

Every year since the Dothan Diamond Classic kicked off in 2019, a team from our tournament has gone on to win a state title. That tradition means something. We are so proud of everyone who came out and represented the Wiregrass.
