DISD Runn Elementary

DISD Runn Elementary The first school at Run began in the Hester home. The Run School was for many years a county school until it became part of DISD in 1972.

In 1910, a building was built which served as a classroom, a library, a Sharing Place & today a historical archive. At Runn Elementary, our mission is to educate, encourage, and engage all students 
through relevant and rigorous instructional practices that will allow them to achieve their highest potential.

Even though our seniors completed their Senior Walk at another campus, the love and pride followed them there. Some of their former teachers made the time to come out, cheer them on, and celebrate how far they’ve come. These visits were a powerful reminder that once you’re part of our school family, you’re always part of it. Congratulations to the Class of 2026 — your journey is just getting started, and we are so proud of you!
