In recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Great Circle (formerly OFRA) staff in Doniphan is distributing 1,000 blue pinwheels throughout the community, collaborating with local officials, including police, fire, emergency responders, medical personnel, the Doniphan R-I school district, and other community organizations.
The public is welcome to pick up a free blue pinwheel at Great Circle’s Doniphan office, 204 Summit St., or The Prospect-News, 110 Washington St., while supplies last.
Great Circle also is selling specially-designed blue t-shirts people are encouraged to wear on “Go Blue Day,” Friday, April 6. T-shirts are available in limited sizes, and can be purchased at the Great Circle office. Adult t-shirts are $15 each; children’s t-shirts are $10 each. All proceeds support Great Circle’s programs for children and families.

We’re pleased to announce that effectively immediately, OFRA has merged with Great Circle to better serve you! Great Circle is a comprehensive statewide nonprofit that’s been providing a variety of behavioral health care to children and families for decades. The merger enables us to strengthen current programs and will lead to more services. We’ll be sharing more information in the weeks to come.
