Last week, General Manager & Executive Vice President, David Johnston, and Director of Member Services, Brent Goforth attended the NRECA’s Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. 🏛️ 🇺🇸

This conference provides the opportunity for cooperative leaders, directors and staff members from across the country to meet the elected officials for their respective territories and advocate for policy that will maintain the reliability and affordability of electric service to our membership here in Illinois. Meetings were held with both Senator Dick Durbin & Senator Tammy Duckworth, along with U.S. Representative Mike Bost for those in his district.

We will continue to advocate for legislation that benefits cooperatives and their members! ⚡️

🌳 As we enter into the peak spring season, our forestry crews are busy clearing invasive species, overreaching limbs, and brush that could interfere with our line crews’ work in the right-of-way (ROW). Their work is critical to maintaining the highest level of reliability to our membership!
