☕ NOW HIRING: EXPERIENCED KITCHEN TEAM MEMBER
Southern Grind Coffee Co. is seeking a dependable, experienced kitchen professional to join our team in a part-time position.
This is a hands-on role requiring previous experience in a café, bakery, or restaurant kitchen. We are looking for someone who can confidently work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining Southern Grind’s standards for quality, consistency, cleanliness, and customer service.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Preparing pastries and other baked items
* Preparing and plating items from our breakfast and lunch menus
* Operating kitchen equipment safely and properly
* Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and service-ready kitchen
* Following recipes, portion standards, and food-safety procedures
* Monitoring inventory and communicating supply needs
* Receiving and properly storing food deliveries
* Supporting front-of-house operations when needed
* Completing opening, closing, and routine cleaning duties
Qualified applicants should have:
* Prior hands-on experience in a café, bakery, or restaurant kitchen
* The ability to prepare multiple orders accurately and efficiently
* Working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food-safety practices
* Strong organization and time-management skills
* Dependability, attention to detail, and a team-focused attitude
* The ability to maintain quality and cleanliness during busy service periods
This is not an entry-level kitchen position. Applicants should be comfortable performing food preparation and kitchen duties with limited supervision after training.
Position: Part-time
Working hours: 6:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Compensation: Based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills
Selected applicants will participate in a hands-on kitchen skills evaluation during the interview process.
