The DREAM. LEARN. LEAD. Torch has officially been passed to Mr. Harvey Cahn! Though this is his first year at DHS as a child-specific paraprofessional, he has already made a profound impact on our school community. Mr. Cahn models exceptional professionalism with faculty, staff, and especially our students. His dedication to his work is unmatched—he expertly balances empowering his student to be independent while stepping in with support the moment it’s needed. Beyond that, his infectious smile lights up every room he enters.
Mr. Cahn’s dedication goes far beyond the classroom, too. When a duty slot needed covering last Friday night, he stepped right up without hesitation and ran the game operations like a seasoned veteran. On behalf of the administration team, thank you, Mr. Cahn, for your proactive heart for our students and school. Your actions truly embody and MAXIMIZE!

The DREAM. LEARN. LEAD. Torch was passed to Mr. Broderick Taplin, who has been a valued member of the Donaldsonville High School team for the past two years. Mr. Taplin brings incredible energy to our campus, and his passion for education speaks volumes. He works tirelessly to ensure his students' needs are met. You will rarely find him sitting down because he is so actively involved in their academic growth. Outside the classroom, he is always ready to step in with duty, consistently asking how he can contribute to the smooth operation of our school. During cluster meetings, Mr. Taplin is exceptionally attentive, constantly seeking new knowledge to grow as an educator. His eagerness to receive feedback and engage in reflective practice shows his commitment to excellence. Thank you for choosing DHS, Mr. Taplin. We are thrilled to have you on our team. The DREAM. LEARN. LEAD. torch has officially passed to Master Teachers Tayler Pierre and Michaela Conway. Together, they bring a fresh, dynamic energy that elevates both teacher effectiveness and student achievement. Their collaboration is seamless. Watching them brainstorm and feed off each other's ideas in ILT, Core, and Cluster is inspiring.

Bringing a wealth of expertise to the team, Ms. Conway leads the Math/Science cluster while Ms. Pierre facilitates ELA/Electives. To mirror our administrative model, they co-support both clusters, ensuring strong alignment across all subjects. Backed by strategically designed ILT and Cluster documentation, their leadership makes every session run effortlessly. We are thrilled to have them driving our mission as we live out our new hashtag and buzzword: and let's MAXIMIZE.
