It’s always a great day to honor our veterans. Last week the History Brigade assisted the VFW in placing flags in the local Dunkirk and Dola cemeteries. It is a true reminder as Memorial Day approaches of the sacrifices that have been made to protect our freedom.

Another great day for history!

Today the History Brigade and Principles of Nutrition class stepped back in time to World War II at the Lauer Farm 1944 school day in Lima. From Marines to medics to the home front, the presenters kept students engaged all morning.

The sound of Civil War cannons and the smell of the blacksmith's fire will return to Hardin Northern next week. The History Brigade will host their annual Living History Day for the elementary classes next Tuesday afternoon. Several student presenters will join local living historians as they entertain the elementary students with tales of the Civil War, the French Revolution, and much, much more.
