Some community members donated funds to cover the cost of the hot dogs, etc at our Trick-or-Treat Pit Stop tonight, so there will be no charge for them.

How well do you know your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Some important information can be found on the back, including things like what the different sounds mean, manufacture dates, cleaning and testing guidelines, and service life of the unit. The unit in the picture was manufactured August 7, 2014. It states in the lower left corner that it should be replaced when 10 years old.

On the 24th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, we honor the 343 firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty, and the countless first responders that ran toward danger.

We also remember those who have since passed due to illness stemming from their service at Ground Zero - heroes whose courage did not end that day, but continued in the months and years that followed.

Their sacrifice is not forgotten.
