Happy Birthday K-9 Sam! 🎉

K9 Sam is a Czech Shepherd, born on this day in the Netherlands in Northwestern Europe. He joined the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office in 2023 and his handler is Sgt. Nate Kennicker.

Sam is trained in tracking, apprehension, and narcotic detection! Sam’s vet is the Dodgeville Vet Clinic and his food is sponsored by Alisha’s Best of Friends Pet Care & Nutrition Center of Dodgeville!

Even though today is Sam’s day off work, I can assure you he is home resting and celebrating accordingly! 🎂

At his 2 year check-up, K9 Fenix got a clean bill of health today!! He needed a little help to calm down so Deputy Benisch took advantage of being able to lay with him for a little while. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Dodgeville Veterinary Service!! You all provide exceptional care to our partners and we are lucky to have you! Thank you for being a sponsor of Iowa County K-9 Unit!!

It was our pleasure to see K9 Officer Fenix and his handler, Officer Stephanie today for his annual wellness exam. We are proud to sponsor his care to ensure he is healthy and able to continue serving the community!! 🐾

Shirts are also still available, but they are now limited quantities of each size and color! Order form has been updated. If we don’t have what you request, you will be contacted with alternate options or to cancel ordering the item. Stop by the Sheriff’s Office or mail us your order form!!

You can find the order form pictured in this post! Return your order form to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and we will notify you when your order is ready. Deadline for orders is September 23, 2024!!

NEW SHIRTS! Iowa County K-9 Unit is now selling t-shirts and hoodies to support us! Deputy Benisch is at the Iowa County Fair selling on hand sizes of adult and youth S-XL. All other sizes are available by order form and will be ready in approximately 2 weeks!! We also have plenty of mini plush K-9’s available!! Come see us behind the Ferris Wheel!!

WE’RE HERE! Iowa County K-9 Unit is at the Iowa County Fair! Find us located behind the Ferris Wheel! We are selling mini plush K-9’s, t-shirts, and hoodies to support Iowa County K-9!! You can also meet K-9 Fenix in person! We will be here until 7pm Friday, 1pm-5pm Saturday, Sunday, and Monday!!! Come say hello!
