Starting Wednesday, September 16, Hi Street between 14th Avenue and Barham Boulevard will be closed for reconstruction, as shown on the map below. The closure is expected to last approximately seven weeks. During this time, construction will include the removal of existing asphalt pavement, installation of new underground water lines and a fire hydrant assembly at the Barham Boulevard intersection, subgrade treatment, and placement of new concrete pavement. Residents along Hi Street will need to access their properties from the north via Soule Street.

When traveling through or near the construction area, please use caution and be alert for construction equipment, loose or shifting soil, freshly placed concrete, fresh tar sealant, and other work-related hazards. Please follow all posted traffic control devices for your safety and the safety of construction crews. If you observe an unsafe condition or another issue that warrants attention, please contact Building Solutions at (620) 225-1199.

The annual 9/11 Day of Remembrance Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 PM at Liberty Garden in Wright Park. The service will provide an opportunity for our community to reflect on the events of September 11, remember the lives lost, honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and recognize those who continue to serve our country and communities. We encourage community members to attend as Dodge City comes together in remembrance and reflection 25 years later.
