With the recent investments announced, Dodge City and Ford County have experienced an increase of 13.1% in job growth over the past five years, accounting for over 2,000

additional new job openings in all areas including accounting, health, manufacturing, hospitality, agribusiness, and education. The Dodge City/Ford County Development Corporation is a joint partnership between the City of Dodge City, Ford County, and several private businesses.

The City is seeking qualified companies and developers to submit complete proposals for the redevelopment and future use of the property, which is located within the expanded Heritage STAR Bond District. This opportunity is part of ongoing efforts to encourage investment, growth, and revitalization within the downtown area while supporting projects that enhance tourism, economic activity, and quality of life in Dodge City. What an incredible evening celebrating our childcare providers! 💚

The Childcare Coalition of Dodge City was proud to host the Ford County Childcare Provider Appreciation Dinner on Friday, May 8, in honor of National Childcare Provider Appreciation Day.

We welcomed 58 childcare providers, plus guests, for a total of 108 attendees as we recognized the individuals who care for and educate our community’s children every single day.

A special thank you to Mayor Daniel Pogue for welcoming attendees and sharing appreciation for the important role providers play in supporting children, families, and our workforce.

Providers enjoyed a delicious steak dinner featuring steaks donated by Cargill and catered by S&P Catering. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and organizations, every provider also left with a giveaway or door prize!

We also provided childcare during the event to help make the evening accessible for providers and families.

This event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and local businesses. Thank you for helping us celebrate the hardworking childcare providers who make such a difference in Ford County every day! 👏
