As we prepare to commemorate Independence Day this week, let us humble ourselves before Almighty God and give Him thanks for our freedom and prosperity. Let us also remember the 56 men that signed our Declaration of Independence that pledged their "lives, fortunes, and sacred honor" to preserve the freedoms enshrined in this document.šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

🐘The Kansas Republican Party emphasizes the principles of this foundational document in our policy platform…

šŸ“ƒKSGOP Platform, page 2:
šŸ‘«EMBRACING OUR HERITAGE

āœ…The Kansas Republican Party believes that the fundamental principles of the Republican Party
are rooted in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitutions of the United States and
Kansas, especially in their respective Bills of Rights.
The Party supports the preservation of our
Republic, its ideals, and institutions for the good of all Americans. We adamantly oppose the
erosion of these cherished freedoms.

āœ…Preserving these freedoms requires our best effort; our willingness to believe in ourselves and
to believe in our capacity to accomplish great things; and our great faith that together, with
God’s guidance, we can and will resolve the problems that now confront us.

America remains a beacon of hope and freedom for the world, thanks to the courage and wisdom of our founders. It is up to us to help preserve this freedom so Kansas will flourish and our families are safe and prosperous.

I waited to weigh in on the DC plane crash because I wanted to get the facts straight. I didn't want to dishonor those who lost their lives or tarnish the legacy of a dedicated military member. However, now that I've done my homework and have an informed opion, it’s time to say it loud and clear: President Trump was absolutely right—insane Democrat DEI policies contributed to this disaster.

Let’s get to the core of the issue. The air traffic controllers at Reagan National were severely understaffed that night due to DEI policies that kept over 1,000 qualified applicants from getting hired—all so that the FAA could prioritize candidates who fit certain diversity criteria. This ridiculous situation put the FAA in the middle of a class-action lawsuit before the crash even occurred! As a pilot, I can confidently say that since the Obama administration’s DEI initiatives, the quality of air traffic controllers has taken a nosedive. Competent controllers are stuck cleaning up the mess made by those who were hired under DEI guidelines.

Now, let’s focus on Captain Rebecca Lobach—she's the person responsible for this crash. Flying at 325 feet, which is 125 feet above the helicopter ceiling, she absolutely deserves the blame. With only 450 hours of flight time, she was the pilot in command during a continuity of government exercise. Usually, it takes at least 1,000 hours and 2–4 years of experience to be designated as PIC, especially when tasked with flying VIPs.

The Army said she was the pilot in command during night training, but her inexperience was glaring when she shut off the ADS-B safety system. That system could have alerted the airliner, and there’s absolutely no reason for it to be switched off during training in crowded airspace. The instructor pilot, with 1,000 hours of experience, should have been paying closer attention and corrected these obvious and deadly mistakes. This is just unacceptable.

And here’s something that really stands out: the government waited three days to share her name because they were busy erasing her social media presence and that of her family to cover up the truth. She worked as a social aide in the Biden White House, was a le***an, and a vocal participant in the "Pride" movement, frequently attending rallies and protests. In fact, she bought a $540,000 house four years ago while serving as a second lieutenant with a mere $43k annual salary from the Army, with financial help from an unnamed partner. The fact she was a le***an is relevant because it is one of the DEI criteria to be selected for elevation, in addition until 2010 she would not have been eligible to serve due to her sexual orientation therefore this incident would not have happened.

Let’s not overlook the fact that the average commercial airline pilot has around 7,500 hours of flight time and must have a minimum of 1,500 hours to get a ATP license.. The American Airlines pilots involved in this crash? They certainly aren’t to blame. The responsibility falls squarely on Capt. Lobach and the reckless DEI policies that helped create this situation. It’s time to call it like it is and hold those accountable who should be.

Delegates were treated at times like schoolchildren in detention, and long-standing procedures were largely set aside. Though the resulting document is strong, the GOP must recommit to transparency.
