Note: $10 parking fee/car (cash only) from May – Labor Day.
As part of Path through History, enjoy a free, easy, 2 miles/2 hours (total) loop hike north along the Aqueduct and atop the beautiful Croton Dam. Meet near the restrooms at the rear (south end) of the parking lot at Croton Gorge Park, 35 Yorktown Road, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520, GPS Coordinates: 41°13′ 20.46” N -73°51′12.59” W. The leader of the hike will discuss the history and construction of the Old Croton Aqueduct and the features of the Croton Dam, the trailhead of the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail. The Aqueduct was completed in 1842 to supply fresh water to a thirsty New York City. (From Metro-North Hudson Line Croton-Harmon Train Station: 15-minute taxi.)

From Yonkers to Sleepy Hollow, over 75 shows from various genres will fill backyards, gardens, village businesses, churches, community centers and open green spaces on the banks of the Hudson River for the 11th annual RiverArts Music Tour!

Stop by the Keeper’s House for hourly performances starting at 12:00PM before heading to the waterfront for the final performances at 6!

Movies on the Trail finishes off its beach vibes set with a visit to Montunui and another favorite rebellious kid in, Moana! The daughter of the village chief, Moana constantly sought to explore the vast oceans, but her dad and her duty to her island always kept her landbound. Famine and food shortage would change everything as once seen as a problem, now all hope rests in Moana’s ability to restore balance for her people out in the ocean. First step, finding the demi-god, Maui who started the problem in the first place! Strap along as pirates, monsters and gods all await her on her quest!

All movies are shown on the east lawn of the Keeper’s house and are free of charge! Patrons are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and a chair or blanket to lay on.

Movies on the Trail heads into the Caribbean with a return of Kermit, Fozzy and the rest of the Muppets in, Muppet Treasure Island! A retelling of a classic tale in the way only the Muppets can, travel with the crew as they search for buried treasure along with a motley crew, but not without challenges, danger and song along the way! Beware the one-legged pirate, a man among Muppets!!

All movies are shown on the east lawn of the Keeper’s house and are free of charge! Patrons are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and a chair or blanket to lay on.

Free, easy, 3 mile/hour walk.

Meet at the Lenoir Nature Preserve at 19 Dudley Street in Yonkers, off of Broadway (parking available). Explore the Nature Preserve before heading south from the Preserve for one mile along the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail to Untermyer Gardens. Learn the history of the Old Croton Aqueduct along the way. Tour the exquisitely restored Untermyer Gardens, once among the most famous gardens in the world. Return to the Lenoir Nature Preserve.

Free, easy, 2-hour tour. Meet at the front (upper level/south side) of the Joseph Caputo Center, which is located at 95 Broadway, Ossining, NY 10562, just west of Rte. 9/Highland Ave. at the junction of Croton Ave. (Rte. 133 (from Metro-North Ossining Train Station by taxi or 15-minute uphill walk/parking lots nearby). After a brief walk, descend into the Weir in Ossining and explore the original 1842 brick water tunnel and learn its history. This tour is designed to be an engaging, story-driven experience and is not suitable for children under 10. We ask that all guests—regardless of age—are able to remain attentive and respectful, as disruptions can affect the experience for the group.

Required: pre-registration. Walk may be rescheduled if weather does not cooperate.

Movies on the Trail shifts towards the other side of the Pacific this week with one of our favorite alien/human friendships in, Lilo and Stitch (2025)! Follow Lilo, a lonely Hawaiian girl who lives with her older sister and has trouble fitting in. After befriending a fugitive alien created for destruction, Lilo and Stitch help teach each other the deeper meaning of life, friendship and the importance of family, all while evading Stitch’s captors and the threat of being taken by child protective services!

Movies on the Trail is in full beach mode this July as we take a dive down to the reef in Finding Nemo! Being born with a small flipper, Nemo always had his dad Marlin, to help him out of any problem, real or imagined. The overbearing nature of a proactive dad would cause any kid to rebel, and Nemo was no different! However, Nemo’s rebelling caused him to be captured by a fish enthusiast, setting off a frantic search all over the Australian waters! With the help of an absentminded friend, Dory, follow Marlin as he fights the ocean to get his son back!

Come to the Keeper’s House and celebrate the start of the historic 250th holiday weekend in patriotic fashion with the showing of Captain America: The First Avenger! See where it all began with Steve Rogers as he becomes Captain America, America’s first super soldier! Facing the N**i regime in World War 2, the physically weak but with fortitude and heart for his country beyond imagination, Rogers took an experimental serum to transform himself into the greatest soldier the world has ever seen! Will all his sacrifices pay off for the country? Will it pay off for Steve?
