This December (2017) our St. Peter's Christmas Caroling and Music Event will be held Sunday, 10 Dec. at 4 PM. Join us across the street in the Nelson home for refreshments afterwards. Welcome.

Please join us for caroling on Sunday, December 14 at 4 pm. St. Peter's Church, Grand Detour. The public is invited.

Again this year, we enjoyed a full house for the annual Christmas concert at St. Peter's. It was a 63 degree evening, so the doors were open!

St. Peter's Church was full this evening for beautiful caroling including marvelous performances by the Methodist choir. It was warm inside, so we opened the doors. The music must have reached everyone in the village!

Our wedding season opened last weekend with a beautiful wedding of a bride and grrom from Minnesota. They printed their wedding bulletin with a beautiful picture of St. Peter's on the cover and a summary of its history on the back. Great! Thanks Sue and Steve.

Nothing more beautiful than a calm snowfall in Grand Detour. Life slows down in the village. St. Peter's is splendid as usual. Come out with your camera. No weddings until March, but we can heat the church on short notice, if you want!
