SNAP security is at your fingertips! The Virginia Department of Social Services has launched a lock/unlock security feature to help protect your SNAP benefits from theft. This tool allows you to lock your EBT card from your phone after checkout, protecting your benefits from would-be scammers and ensuring that your funds are there when you need them.

Simply download the official ConnectEBT app and tap the new “Lock/Unlock” button on the home screen. Before making a purchase, press “Lock/Unlock” again to unlock your card, but don’t forget to lock it again after checking out! With EBT scams on the rise, this is not just an extra tool – it's a necessity. Learn more about protecting yourself from EBT scams at dss.virginia.gov/EBTLockUnlock.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM DINWIDDIE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES!

11/21/2022

Please consider visiting the Dinwiddie Department of Social Services to select an "Angel" from their holiday tree. These "Angels' are 15-17-year-olds whose families will be supported by the Dinwiddie Christmas Sharing Foundation (Christmas Sharing is unable to serve children beyond the age of 14).

Together we can help place a twinkle in the eye of even more children this Christmas!
